Congressman Recognizes Four Students with Exceptional Senior Awards

Four Comal Independent School District seniors have been recognized by U.S. Rep. Chip Roy as exceptional seniors for the 2020 school year.

Each of these seniors was chosen for the award based on recommendations by their school’s faculty:

  • Kristin Clark at Canyon High School
  • Logan “Boogie” Crownover at Canyon Lake High School
  • Abigail Redin at Smithson Valley High School
  • Luis Aldaco at Memorial Early College High School

This is the first year Roy is honoring exceptional seniors. The purpose of the award is to recognize students who have consistently displayed high levels of character, leadership, integrity, and diligence. Nominees and award winners are chosen based upon their philanthropic activities, their academic success, and their reputation among their peers and teachers. Almost 30 students were chosen from high schools in the congressman’s district which covers parts of San Antonio, Austin and the Hill Country.

Soon, the congressman hopes to offer congratulations to these seniors through a video conference call.
