May 9, 2023 - Canyon High School hosted its annual Fine Arts Signing Night for 11 seniors who have committed to continue to pursue their passions in music, theater and art at the collegiate level.
Family, friends and teachers were on hand to celebrate this milestone.
Five of the 11 will continue their studies in theatre arts including Presley Batkins, who will attend Texas State University, Eleisha Harmony Deus, who will attend the University of North Texas, Kyle Dickinson, who will attend Indiana University – Bloomington and Aarin Guerrero and Abigail West, who will attend the University of the Incarnate Word.
Art students who plan to continue to study and hone their skills, include Kaylee Ellebracht, Lauren Sanchez and Kyle Wagner who will attend Texas State University and Nadia Zimmers, who will attend the University of the Incarnate Word.
Two music students have committed pursuing their passions as well. They include Phoenix Alcera, who will attend the Butler School of Music at the University of Texas, Austin, and Reyna Block who will attend Texas Lutheran University to study music education with a vocal emphasis.
