April 2, 2024 - Comal ISD recognized the accomplishments of this year’s state medalists and qualifiers in swim during the Board of Trustees meeting March 28.
All five high schools were represented at the state level in swim with a total of 33 athletes advancing to either the 4A or 5A state meet.
Athletes from Davenport High School brought home bronze medals with the girls swim breaking the school record in the 200-freestyle relay and senior Dane Olson finishing the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:07.20. The relay consisted of Lilly deGarmeaux, Leigh Jackson, London Mellon and Taryn Welch.
